Where to eat? Our favorite addresses between Théoule and Saint-Raphaël

Sea view from the garden terrace of the CAP NEREE 225 apartment in Le Trayas

A successful stay on the French Riviera inevitably involves the pleasures of the table. Between Var and Alpes-Maritimes, the Corniche d’Or offers generous land where fresh Mediterranean fish meet the sunny flavors of Provence and the influences of neighboring Italy. From relaxed beachside guinguettes for lunch with your feet in the sand to suspended terraces ideal for a romantic dinner, the region is full of gems.

Here is our exclusive, tried-and-tested address book, to savor the best of the region just a few minutes from Cap Nérée.

1. Lunch with feet in the sand: La Plage de la Figuerette (Théoule)

For a purely seaside atmosphere without traveling for miles, head to Figuerette beach, located only 3 km from the residence. Several restaurants are set up directly on the sand there.

  • The atmosphere & the food: This is the ideal place to enjoy fried “jojos”, grilled sea bass with fennel or a beautiful fresh salad facing the lapping waves. At lunchtime, the atmosphere is relaxed and warm. In the evening, the lights dim to give way to a magical atmosphere at sunset.

  • Our advice: Consider calling to book, especially in high season, if you want a front-row table facing the sea.

2. Panoramic dinner: The heights of Théoule-sur-Mer

Less than 10 minutes by car to the north, the heart of Théoule-sur-Mer is home to superb restaurants overlooking the coastline.

  • The atmosphere & the plate: Look for establishments with overhanging terraces. You will enjoy refined Mediterranean cuisine (prawn risotto, roasted octopus, Provençal stuffed vegetables) with, as a backdrop, a breathtaking and spectacular view of the entire Bay of Cannes and the Lérins Islands, which light up at nightfall.

3. Local Flavors: The markets of Saint-Raphaël

If you drive west along the red rocks, stop in Saint-Raphaël for an immersion in local life.

  • The experience: Don’t miss the picturesque fish market on the old port (depending on the local fishermen’s catch) and the Provençal market in Place Victor Hugo. It’s the perfect opportunity to stock up on authentic products: artisanal tapenade, local olives, goat cheeses from the hinterland, and of course, a bottle of chilled rosé wine from Provence.

🍷 The finest table on the Corniche d’Or is yours…

Sometimes, the greatest luxury is staying home. Why be confined to a restaurant when you have a private panoramic sea view? Stop by the local supermarket (just 1 km away), put together a platter of regional specialties, and enjoy a magical sunset aperitif on the terrace or garden of your apartment at Cap Nérée.
