Whether you are a contemplative walker or a seasoned hiker, here is our selection of must-see routes to explore the wild Est\u00e9rel.<\/p>\n
This is the area’s signature hike. From the small Trayas train station, located a stone’s throw from the residence, a path climbs steeply through maritime pines, strawberry trees, and flowering heather. The ascent, sometimes challenging but manageable, leads you to the summit of Pic de l’Ours (492 meters), recognizable by its telecommunications antenna. <\/p>\n
The reward: Reaching the summit, the view is magnificent. You enjoy an absolute panoramic view of the entire Bay of Cannes, the L\u00e9rins Islands, the often snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps on one side, and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez on the other. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Practical information: Loop of approximately 2h30, moderate level.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
If you only have time for one hike to experience the “Grand Canyon” atmosphere, choose the summit of Cap Roux. The trail winds its way through spectacular red stone monoliths and ancient caves, such as the cave of the hermit Saint-Honorat. <\/p>\n
Local tip: The orientation table at the summit offers a breathtaking, sweeping view of the Corniche d’Or. We highly recommend doing this hike early in the morning during the summer: the low-angled sunlight sets the volcanic rock ablaze, and the silence is almost reverent. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

For a more relaxed day out or an afternoon stroll, the Coastal Path (formerly the customs officers’ path) is ideal. This flat trail runs alongside coves and rocky headlands, close to the waves. It allows you to discover the maritime history of the coast while enjoying the sea spray. <\/p>\n
